Calvados web campaign in Belgium and Holland

Changes to the 'Calvados' website and the creative concept.
The site now offers a double message: Classic or Mix,
there are two ways about Calvados... meaning that there are two ways of drinking Calvados, after a meal and in cocktails.
A major bannering campaign on selected sites will take internet users to the Calvados site to take part in a quiz competition.

Signing up for a new regionwide poster campaign, Calvados is relying on the various ways of drinking it to attract both the local people and visitors to Normandy.

A presence from June until August 2011 along the coast and in the area’s main tourist spots.

Pommeau is back on the campaign trail from 01 June until 31 August 2011 in Lower and Upper Normandy.
Over 1000 faces coming in 3 different formats and 2 visuals depicting the product, the apple or apple blossom and the horse in the background asserting the identity of the land of Normandy.

VINEXPO Bordeaux - Juin 2011

Vinexpo recorded 48,122 visitors from 148 countries, up 3.22% compared to 2009, but over and above this slight increase in numbers, it was the overall effectiveness and value of the contacts achieved that made this 16th Vinexpo so special.
Although they easily formed the majority, representing 68% of all visitors, the French buyers were no more numerous than in 2009.
The growth in the number of visitors was driven by attendees from all over the world. The 17,910 non-French professionals at Vinexpo accounted for 37.2% of the total, which is a new record, and the number of Asian participants was exceptionally high. One non-French visitor out of three was Asian and among them 2,974 Chinese professionals attended Vinexpo. After France and China, the other top 5 visiting nations were the U.S. with 1,403 visitors, UK with 1,342 and Belgium with 1,172.

A bar area laid on at the Normandy stand allowed IDAC to communicate on Calvados and make Calvados-based cocktails.

The “Nouvelle Vogue” Calvados International Trophies

Finland and Poland, winners of the 15th Edition of the Calvados Nouvelle Vogue International Trophies
12 participating countries, professional bartenders and trainees, took on the ambitious challenge to create a Calvados-based cocktail in association with the Normandy's 1100th anniversary year on the theme of : "unveil their hidden Viking spirit!"

Discovering Calvados

The Interprofession Des Appellations Cidricoles (IDAC) is launching an educational DVD dedicated to Calvados apple brandies.

As a necessary communications medium to educate the general public, professionals, hotel schools and qualified barmen, the different chapters of the DVD (history, manufacture, distillation, ageing, ways of drinking) take us through the three Calvados appellations.
