Calvados launches its new website in Belgium and Holland

Classic or Mix

The new Calvados website went online on 22 June 2011.

www.calvados-classic.be and www.calvados-mix.be for Belgium,
www.calvados-classic.nl and www.calvados-mix.nl for Holland.

'There are two ways about Calvados’ is the new slogan for the IDAC campaign.

This double site reinforces the intention to make Calvados known ‘in all its forms’.
Belgian and Dutch visitors can now discover or rediscover it either as a brandy (Calvados Classic) or in cocktails (Calvados Mix). In this way the site is targeting both a mature, more traditional audience and a more dynamic audience willing to follow new consumer trends.

The home page allows web users to navigate between the ‘Classic’ and the ‘Mix’, and its two visuals bring out two very different atmospheres.

There are 4 sections to the ‘Classic’ part, which presents the various Calvados appellations, with general information on how Calvados is made, hints on how to serve depending on its age, some delicious recipes, and how to read a label.
The second part, ‘Mix’, proposes nothing but recipes for cocktails with a Calvados base.

Through links to Facebook and Twitter, anyone who enjoys Calvados can also share and exchange their experiences of the different ways of drinking Calvados.

A powerful web media plan, comprising:

- In Belgium
A bannering campaign in 2 waves (one in June, the other in November) on high-impact sites. A link on the banners will generate traffic to the Calvados site and offer a quiz competition over each period, with prizes including bottles of Calvados, a cocktail workshop or a trip to Normandy...

- In Holland
A web campaign in October and November with a link on banners to take part in the quiz competition
